The Animation Project targets court-involved youth, providing a program that teaches the latest digital art technology as part of a therapeutic environment designed to nurture social, emotional and cognitive growth and develop career skills. Providing alternatives to incarceration, TAP’s mission is to create better opportunities for this highly at-risk population and helping them learn the skills they need to be happy and productive adults.
- TAP serves approximately 300 court-involved youth ages 12 to 24 each year.
- Since 2008, over 1,100 youth have participated in TAP’s signature 3D Computer Animation Therapy Group.
- TAP’s 3D Computer Animation Therapy Group course is led by a professional digital animator and a licensed creative arts therapist.
